Isaac enjoys working closely with his clients to resolve what are often the most complicated issues in their professional and personal lives. Isaac has successfully obtained multiple million-dollar judgments for business clients and routinely defends professionals and businesses embroiled in civil litigation and criminal prosecutions. Before entering private practice, Isaac served as a law clerk to the Hon. Robert B. King of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and the Hon. Robert Charles Chambers of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.
A native of Charleston, West Virginia, Isaac graduated with honors from the University of Vermont and Columbia Law School. After law school, Isaac worked for federal judges at the trial and appellate level before entering private practice in his hometown. Isaac also serves on the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Panel established by the United States District Court for the Southern District of West Virginia.

Obtained published federal court decision reinstating a West Virginia Pharmacy's DEA Registration and dissolving DEA Suspension Order.
Represented a large health care system in years' long federal False Claims Act investigation, resulting in complete dismissal of all claims
Secured $1.2 million judgment in favor of mining equipment manufacturer in state court litigation against mine operator
Secured $2.5 million judgment in favor of a mineral owner in federal litigation, including appeal, over accelerated coal royalty payments
Successfully defended departing high-level employee – in the District Court and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals – against former employer’s effort to enforce contractual non-compete agreements
Lead outside counsel pursuing antitrust claims involving the asphalt industry on behalf of the State of West Virginia, resulting in a $101.3 milllion settlement – the largest single-state antitrust settlement in West Virginia history
Represented employees of a Fortune 500 in a federal grand jury investigation
Defense at federal trial of medical office manager charged with conspiracy to distribute prescription substances, resulting in a full acquittal after a two-week jury trial
Regularly represents doctors, pharmacists, physical therapists, lawyers, and other professionals facing state and federal criminal investigations, professional licensing proceedings, and civil litigation
